Crowded cities, e-mails, cell phones, sms, conference calls, video conferences, smart phones messages, traffic jams, daily rush hours, schedules, more meetings than can be handled (some of them unproductive I must say), excessive cold in the winters, etc., all are part of the regular daily life of a lot of people living in some cities in the United States, Canada, and Europe.
Before all this collapses into your stress level, it might be time to take a vacation…. But where to go?
Kids would love to go to Orlando Florida, to the theme parks of course! So you go there on a tour and realize that there are scheduled activities, long lines to ride the attractions and just about the technology needed to prevent you from totally disconnect from the office! Kids sure have a good time, but you, well you enjoy parts of this vacation and your boss is very happy that you had a signal in your smart phone, and managed to answer those "extremely important" e-mails during your vacation!
The previous scene can be repeated every day during your vacations, so, the time to break that cycle is NOW!
There are some places overseas where you could go, with all inclusive activities, at the same cost as if you were going to another state in USA. Costa Rica and Panama are good examples of those places.
OK, you are the adventurer type, but must sleep in a comfortable place, with room service, ESPN and hot water? Panama City is the place for you. Given that Panama's territory is so small, travelers can use Panama City as a "home base", going out every day in a different adventure: hike in the rain forest in the Panamanian mountains until arriving to a waterfall where you can take a refreshing swim, cross the mountain range and go to the Caribbean side to visit tiny islands with white sand beaches and crystal clear waters to snorkel, visit the Panama Canal, do the zip lining passing by a gorgeous waterfall, go fishing in world wide recognized spots in the Pacific Ocean, navigate in lakes enjoying water sports, visit caves, scuba dive in great reefs, and many more activities can be done leaving Panama City in the morning and returning in the afternoon, on time to see the beautiful sunset!
Now, if you are that adventurer type, and do not mind not sleeping in a 5 star hotel, then there are many more things you can do while travelling through Panama's different provinces and their towns. A night hike in the jungle in search for species only living in the mountains, hikes through lush vegetation doing circuits of several thundering waterfalls, the best river rafting in Central America, visit deserted islands more beautiful than the ones you see in your dreams, camp in hidden bays, climb a volcano, etc., are just a few of the activities that can be done leaving Panama City.
So, if you want to do something different for your vacation, and do not like to be standing on line waiting to ride your next attraction, try an overseas adventure travel. We can assure you one thing, whether you sleep in Panama City, or decide to go out and check the other provinces: you will not have time to even look at your smart phone while on the activities. Actually chances are that if you leave Panama City to travel to the country side, you won't even get a signal. I feel very sorry for your boss!
