Panama Hiking Tour: Hidden Waterfalls
Aboard our 4x4 expedition vehicle we will visit a secluded small town in the mountains of Panama with amazing landscapes and an incredible biodiversity.
You will have the opportunity to hike through lush jungle and visit waterfalls in all shapes and sizes, most of them with the conveniently located natural stone pool at the bottom inviting everyone for a swim.
We will also visit an organic farm, and go on a night hike to see the exotic night fauna in the jungle. And if weather conditions allow it, we will go to an observation point and see one of the most amazing sunsets in the country.
Includes
Pick-up/drop-off from any hotel in Panama City, land transfers, lodging (twin shared), meals (3 on the 1 night tour, 6 on the 2 night tour), refreshments, local biologist guide fluent in English and Spanish.
What to Wear
- Light shirt or t-shirt (quick drying fabrics work great in the tropics)
- Light long pants (avoid jeans, they will get too heavy when wet, and they will get wet)
- Sport/hiking shoes (sandals or any other kind of open footwear are not recommended for walking in the rainforest)
- You can wear a swimsuit under your clothes for a proper swim in the natural stone pools
NOTE: Clothes are going to get dirty, so it's better not to bring anything that you "love that much".
Skill Level: Moderate
Wet hiking by the edge of a river or by the river itself. Some parts with uneven terrain and slippery surfaces. The distances are not long but some parts can be considered a bit technical. You do not need to be a professional hiker, but you have to be healthy and in decent physical conditions in order to enjoy this tour.
